Vicki graduated from El Cajon Valley High School in 1975 and started her employment with Grossmont Union High School District in 1976 where she worked until she left for the banking industry.
Ordway worked at Home Savings of America from 1986 - 1995 as a teller, in new accounts and then transferred to the Loan Department to be the Secretary to the Vice President. In 1995 when Home Savings was purchased by another bank, she was rehired and returned to GUHSD.
Vicki was hired back she was a Secretary in Special Education in July 1995, then accepted a position as Secretary in the GUHSD Superintendent's office from late 1995 through 2000 when she transferred to Steele Canyon Charter High School to open the school in July 2000. Ordway will retire in September 2024 from Management as the Office Manager / Executive Assistant / Governing Board Secretary (23+ years of Governing Board experience).
Ordway's Uncle Thomas Gould established the Grossmont Union High School District Employees Federal Credit Union in the 1950's and she became a member when she was eligible. Vicki was part of the renaming committee when we became East County Schools Federal Credit Union in 2015, and was part of the origination of the Credit Union To You (CU2U) program.
